I am starting this blog in an effort to create a space where local businesses can seek answers to marketing and advertising questions. My goal is to open the conversation to other advertising companies that believe they have solutions that benefit the Alexandria area local economy.
There are many great businesses in our community that offer the local businesses affordable, effective advertising opportunities. However, there are many, many advertising companies that visit our community, call on our local businesses, and never follow through on promises. Some of which might include: proper design, distribution, pricing, etc. I am committed to making myself available to area businesses so that I might sift through these questionable opportunities to assure they are protected from throwing their money away.
I want this blog to have open dialogue where collaboration is at the forefront. I hope that other advertising companies will join the conversation in an effort to help the local businesses navigate the myriad of advertising choices that come their way.
My first upcoming post will be focused on fly-by-night companies that come into our market and mislead businesses into believing they have local affiliations, take the advertising dollars, then fall short of expectations. I will be thorough in my examination and invite the companies to join the conversation. I am not trying to make any of the bilked advertisers feel bad about their decision, but simply trying to help others not make the same mistake.
